Having taken a leaf out of the book of the Men’s team, the petitioners filed the petition praying for notice to quash the decision of the Inland Revenue Department and an interim order to suspend the decision of the IRD.

Counsel Nishan Sydney Premathiratne appeared on behalf of the petitioners Chamari Athapaththu and Anushka Sanjeevani, while President’s Counsel Kuvera de Soyza represented Sri Lanka Cricket.
