The two captains of the national red and white-ball teams Dhananjaya de Silva and Charith Asalanka respectively have filed writ applications in the Court of Appeal seeking relief from the said Court to prevent the Inland Revenue Department (IRD) categorising them as permanent employees of Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC).
The applications were heard before a Bench consisting of Justice M. T. Laffar Acting President of the Court of Appeal and Justice Sarath Dissanayake.
The two skippers were represented by Attorney-at-Law Nishan Premathiratne who produced submissions related to the legal position of his clients. Following submissions, the matter was re-fixed for support today (18).
