Matches of the ongoing 2025 Women’s One Day Cricket World Cup began in Sri Lanka yesterday (2).
The Women’s World Cup got underway in Guwahati, India on Tuesday (30 Sept.) while the first match to be held in Sri Lanka took place yesterday at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, between the Pakistan and Bangladesh women’s teams.
According to Sri Lanka Cricket, entry to all World Cup matches in Sri Lanka will be free of charge, and gates will open at 1 p.m.
This 13th edition of the Women’s One Day World Cup, which began on 30 September will run until 2 November.
A total of eight teams are participating, with matches being played at four venues in India and one stadium in Sri Lanka.
Out of Sri Lanka’s seven group games, five will be held at the R. Premadasa Stadium and two in India.
