IPG Group and SLT-MOBITEL have officially announced a strategic partnership for the upcoming Lanka Premier League, with PEOTV appointed as the tournament’s exclusive media and broadcast partner.
Under the agreement, cricket fans across Sri Lanka will be able to watch the entire tournament live through SLT-MOBITEL PEOTV, PEO MOBILE, and other digital platforms in HD quality.
The partnership is also expected to expand the tournament’s reach both locally and internationally through collaborations with terrestrial and digital broadcasting partners.
The Lanka Premier League 2026 is scheduled to begin on July 17, while the player auction is set to take place on June 1 as franchises prepare to finalise their squads.
SLT-MOBITEL PEOTV Chief Officer Ruchira Weerakoon stated that the company is proud to partner with IPG Group and deliver a high-quality viewing experience for cricket fans across Sri Lanka.
He noted that PEOTV’s focus remains on providing superior entertainment experiences through both television and digital platforms while reaching a wider audience through flexible viewing options.
IPG Global Founder and Chairman Anil Mohan said strong broadcast partnerships are essential to the continued growth of the Lanka Premier League as both a cricket and entertainment platform.
He added that the collaboration with SLT-MOBITEL PEOTV will help improve broadcast quality, audience reach, and viewing consistency for fans following the tournament.
Meanwhile, Lanka Premier League Director at Sri Lanka Cricket Samantha Dodanwela highlighted that PEOTV’s IPTV and OTT capabilities will significantly improve accessibility for viewers throughout the tournament.
The partnership marks another major commercial development for the Lanka Premier League as the tournament continues to expand its popularity within Sri Lanka and international cricket audiences.
