Mykolaiv Sambo Wrestler Anastasiia Yeromina Wins Silver at World Championships

Anastasiia Yeromina, a sambo wrestler from Mykolaiv, Ukraine, has won a silver medal in the junior women’s under-72 kg category at the World Sambo Championships in Thessaloniki, Greece.

The international tournament took place from October 1 to 3, bringing together more than 700 athletes from 40 countries to compete for world titles.

Medals were awarded across three age categories: cadets, youth boys and girls, and junior men and women. Yeromina’s silver-medal performance marked a significant achievement for both the young athlete and her hometown of Mykolaiv.

Yeromina is a student at the Children and Youth Sports School of Martial Arts, where she trains under coach Volodymyr Moskalenko.

Her success on the international stage highlights the dedication of young Ukrainian athletes and the work of their coaches in developing talent and achieving results at major sporting events.
