Ukrainian athletes delivered a series of podium finishes at the World Sambo Championships among youth and juniors, held in Thessaloniki, Greece, competing against some of the world’s promising young sambo talents.
The championship brought together more than 700 athletes from 40 countries, with competitors battling for medals across multiple weight categories in the youth and junior divisions.
Ukraine’s Medal Winners
Ukrainian representatives earned medals in several categories, demonstrating their competitiveness on the international stage.
Youth Women
- Under 52 kg: Khrystyna Bondar — Silver
- Under 65 kg: Kateryna Skora — Bronze
Youth Men
- Under 75 kg: Dmitro Stetsenko — Silver
Junior Women
- Under 68 kg: Uliana Kliapka — Silver
Junior Men
- Under 82 kg: Denis Pavliukov — Silver
These results highlight the strength and potential of Ukraine’s emerging sambo athletes as they compete against international opposition.
